I got some good work in with Hannah this morning because Grace slept late. I let her sleep till noon, she needed it. Yesterday we medicated and nebbed and nebbed again until Grace was shaky and tired, but her O2 was stable. I made her do one more treatment before bed and she was about to say, Nooooooo, but James reminded her that it’s been 2 years since she’s been in the hospital. So, she acquiesced to my demand. This afternoon she’s still wheezy near the top of her lungs and we’re already doing the infamous cough maker device trying to get the extra mucous out of her lungs so it doesn’t start piling up. She was coherent enough to do spelling and math, which was surprising given the amount of meds in her system.
I was perusing Bible gateway for our devotionals for dance and I found a devotional series from Dietrich Bonhoeffer here. It’s on day 34 (there are 40 days), so I’m going to check back in 7 days and start with day one when it repeats. Here is just one verse from the devotional: Let no evil talk come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29
My Happy Monday thoughts: There is chicken and cabbage soup in the crockpot for dinner tonight, we’re going to a meeting at church about Christ in the Passover and it’s a gorgeous day outside. While the girls are in dance class I might take a walk and see if there are any signs of Spring I can capture with my camera. But, for now, here is a picture of some fluffy flower/seed things from last Spring.
