Party

Bethany had fun at her Friday night party, lots of time to have some girl talk among friends. They were supposed to go to the zoo in the morning, but the girls vetoed that because of the weather (cool and rainy) and decided to stay in and talk and mark tattoos on themselves with Bethany’s Sharpies. I picked her up and we ran home so she could change before the next party, R’s 16th birthday. R chose Titanic as a theme, she loves anything Titanic, so there were Titanic invitations (with tickets attached), a B&W 1958 Titanic movie playing, a casino, a beverage bar, Titanic themed eats (Titanic taquitos!), a ballroom dancing contest and a photo area (since we couldn’t do the scavenger hunt outside.) Here is Bethany in her 1st class dress.

Here is R, 16 and beautiful (inside and out.)

M was manning the blackjack table.

While his brother-in-law worked the roulette table, Bethany was racking up the chips (which were then turned in for candy….should have made the candy more expensive.)

We found this dress on Friday, Goodwill had 2 dresses that would have worked for this era, but this one was the best fit. The white gloves are from the dollar store, I knew they’d have some kind of dress up glove.

There was a lot of laughing going on, I think everyone had a sugar high.

Then the dancing just got crazy (they had ‘Thriller’ on the Titanic?!)

It was a fun party, now I know that Bethany can win some money at roulette, too bad she’s not old enough.
