Last week we got rained out, so this week we were looking forward to sunny weather.
We met with some families at Flyin’ B park and we played.
We grilled hot dogs, caught fish, played in the woods and roasted marshmallows.
The kids had fishing poles, but had more luck with a net and bucket.
Annalivia finally fits into the cute dress I got her last year, either that means it was big or she is small, but regardless – she’s cute.
We left a bit early to make it to the Ek meeting at Mcd’s. Our homeschool group has a lot of sub-groups in it like DDC (for older kids), TNO (Teacher’s night out), EK (exceptional kids) and others. EK is for kids with ‘special needs’, whatever that might be. For Grace it’s her lungs, for Hannah it’s her food allergies, for Bethany…she just likes to hang with her friends. We had 2 new members at the meeting, both with girls, so Hannah and Grace made fast friends while Bethany chatted with R. It’s a time for the kids to talk and play and for the adults to talk about what works, what doesn’t, and give each other some support.
Tomorrow Grace has her pulmonologist appointment with Doc Searing from National Jewish – here’s hoping for growth.
