Psalm 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.
There is still unrest in Aurora. The gunman’s apartment has yet to be safely entered and people are still evacuated from the area. Some of our HS friends might end up being evacuated too.
Pray for healing for those that are still hurt, peace for those who have lost loved ones, rest for those evacuated and safety for those working to make the area return to normal. God is bigger than evil, He is bigger than sorrow, but when we are in the midst of evil and sorrow it is sometimes hard to see that. We are covering our city in prayer even more than usual, for we know He listens.
Ways to help: Give blood! Donate: At the request of Aurora PD, donations for the victims of the theater shooting can be mailed to COVA at 90 Galapago Street, Denver CO, 80223. For tracking, we prefer checks with “Aurora shooting” in the memo line. Once the dust has settled, we will work with Aurora PD and other members of the Aurora community on how to distribute those funds. Thank you all for the outpouring of support.
