Today was the day…the day to drop off Bethany’s art for the H2O art show. She had this piece she titled ‘Rocky Mountain Springs’.
Here is the progress, I missed a couple of shots.
Then she was overcome with a desire to make a second piece and ‘Loving Water’ was born in a very short time. Here are the pieces before assembly.
Here is the final work and some close ups.
When we dropped off the art we didn’t see anything like either of her pieces, which is a good sign. Hopefully she will hear tomorrow that both pieces got into the show. If not, she will be selling them at the Artwalk on Friday.
I don’t think she’ll ever attempt tile work with grout again and acrylics aren’t really her passion (but they show up well on wood.) This was a month long ordeal, though she didn’t work on it everyday. She was racing this weekend though!
It is even MORE amazing in person!Such spectacular work! I absolutely love “Rocky Mountain Springs”! Way to go, Bethany! Good luck in the gallery! Woooot!
