After dropping Joel at ACC today (BTW, he made an 80 on his History mid-term there; tough class) we went to Little Man ice cream.
Fall is the perfect time to eat their gelato, since it’s a lot softer than ice cream.
We had chocolate cherry cordials, ginger, chocolate, and salted oreo. They will be putting back their soups and sandwiches for sale starting Oct. 31st, yum!
We parked by Union station and went in to show Oma and Aunt Debby the lobby. I call these pictures ‘waiting.’
We boarded the shuttle and rode all the way down to the other end. We walked back up 16th street, popping in and out of shops and looking at giant pumpkins.
We heard lots of street musicians, this guy said he’d squeeze Glen Beck’s head till it pops for a quarter.
We stopped in at Cook’s for a snack of cookies, pretzels, and cheese, then continued walking. We played on the blocks at the fountain for a bit and walked back to the car.
Grandma took us out to dinner at Country buffet, which made the kids happy. They stuffed themselves (well, they weren’t the only ones stuffing themselves) and we headed home to pack and rest.
I can’t believe it’s been 2 weeks, that went really fast. We had a good visit, got to show off some things they hadn’t seen before and share some old favorites too. Tomorrow we see them off to the airport and celebrate Joel’s 17th birthday, then it’s back to normal (whatever that is.)
