Dipping our toes back in

Schooling year round is kind of like swimming in the creek here (or river, lake, pond, you name it….it’s gonna be cold.)
You dip your toes in, it’s freezing, you don’t want to do it, then you get used to the water and you don’t want to get out.
Then, you do get out and it’s freezing, but the sun warms you up and then you think about going in the water again.
So, we’ve been off for quite awhile and it’s time to get the party rolling. Once we get used to the water, we’ll be back to normal, but for now we have to just wade in a bit at a time until we get used to a schedule again. Hannah started her Draw Write Now book today. I got it from the library, but I may have to buy a copy, I like the short sentence copywork for Hannah and she likes the drawing part. Hannah and I read a bunch of her library books today, books about shapes and numbers, math and art. Grace went with me to the library to drop off books and pick up some more. Bethany was working on guitar and an art project and reading some books I got. Joel was busy making a new review video and playing around with his new IPad.
The painters did some power washing and I think they painted too. It’s hard to tell, but they are by no means done with the job. I hope to get them out of here by Friday, they make my blood pressure go up. Our month is starting to fill up with doctor appointments, a dentist trip to pull more baby teeth, library shows, park days, hiking and maybe 2 camping trips. Tomorrow it’s supposed to rain, but we hope it holds off till after 3 so we can have a good park day. I have that map art co-op too, that should be fun.
Hopefully things will start to settle around here back into our ‘normal’ schedule, whatever that is.
