White fence farm
We have been waiting awhile to go to White fence this year. Waiting for the Christmas decorations to go up there, but mainly waiting for snow. It’s so nice and cozy and pretty there when it snows, I think the food tastes better too.
So it snowed and was snowing when we left the house to traverse the roads. They were better in some spots than in others. We took Wads up there which is mainly a downhill run. That means that it’s uphill on the other side. It wasn’t long before we saw people sliding down the hill while trying to go up, making the people behind them have to stop and then have no traction to get up the hill and so on. Eventually the south bound side was a wreck (no pun intended) of cars slipping and sliding while gravity pulled them back down. We however, arrived at White fence farm and got in with no wait since it was a bit later. We sat in a different room this time, in fact we’ve been seated in a different room every time.
This old house on the farm was turned into a restaurant complete with gift shop, kids play area, a stage, candy shop, sleigh room, petting zoo, gardens and outdoor play area.
The room we were in overlooked the duck pond and bridge outside. We ate our meal while Christmas music played. They serve family style there, which means as soon as you sit down the table gets loaded with cottage cheese, beets, corn fritters, coleslaw and kidney bean salad. Then you get your meal! After dinner the kids got wooden nickels which they used to redeem a prize out of the treasure chest. Hannah got a red necklace and was so happy. We went down to the gift shop and listened to the band play one last song (it was late) while the kids went down the 2 story indoor slide. Hannah really wanted to go, but not by herself, so she ended up not going at all. We went outside to see the duck pond (as you can see it was still snowing) and take a few pics. Here is the playland/treehouse.
Here is the duck pond in snowy glory.
The gazebo makes a nice picture,
as does the little creek.
And a parting short of the chicken.
That was so much fun, I’m glad we waited till it snowed and I’m glad that it was still snowing during our visit.

That looks like a neat place! If it wasn’t 20 degrees out we’d take my mother in law there this weekend.

Those are great pictures. I had forgotten about that place.
