Highline canal trail

This is really becoming my favorite place to hike.

A usually sandy bed is covered in snow.

I love the crunch of the snow as we tramped along.

Our shadows were textured and followed us for awhile.

We made them jump.

We finally got to see the lake.

We posed.

The sun was fading fast at 4:20pm.

4:30pm

On the other side we stopped by the big cottonwood.

Walked just a bit more.

And enjoyed the twilight approaching.
