School pics
Author: liese4
The best thing about HS’ing is that when the kids get their ’school’ pics done, I can do them anywhere. To avoid squinting I try for a cloudy day, which was today.
We went to Papadeaux to take pics because they have such a neat patio.
Joel, 14, 10th grade in Aug.
Bethany, 10, 5th grade.
Grace, 7, 2nd grade.
Hannah, 4, Pre-K.
Then I dropped Joel at home and we went by the library park to take some more pics, the flowers are so pretty there.

Proof that kids will learn even if you don’t ‘teach’ them. Hannah has access to letter magnets and decided to get them out and put them on the fridge. Then she put the ‘mommies’ and the ‘babies’ together. She matched up the big and little letters, even turning the U into an N; hey, they still all match.
If she found 2 big letters, she’d say they were the Mommy and Daddy, then the little ones were put next to them. So cute!
In other news, it’s cold here. Yesterday at the park the kids wore jeans and sweaters and we got to about 69 as a high. Right now it’s 58 and 11:30 am, I doubt we’ll reach a high of 70 today. I am thinking today is a gloriously cloudy day to take outdoor pics, but the girls are gonna be cold. I might just have them wear a sweater and take it off before the pics. I love cloudy days because the kids don’t squint.
In other, other news, the lady at Starbucks said I really look like I’ve lost weight. She sees James everyday, so she already commented on him, I was waiting for an acknowledgement and finally got one. She said keep up the good work, whatever we’re doing is obviously working. Yes, yes it is. I found a new flavor of yogurt – watermelon and watermelon cantaloupe, it’s the bomb! We found a Kashi oatmeal too, Hannah didn’t like it because of all the grains in it, but it was very hearty.
As the Caddo Indians would say, ‘T’aybaw’ah’ (tie-bow-ah = see ya later.) Buffalo soldiers come next in our lapbook study.
