Whip cream and Cheetos

No, not to eat – to play with. This is what they did at VBS the other night and it looked like fun, so for park day I brought Cheetos, shower caps and whip cream. Look at Grace’s laughing face, she was having so much fun putting whip cream on my head.

For some reason I was the only adult playing…….Anyway, the kids threw Cheetos at me (hard) and then Grace and her friend A got whipped (creamed), it was a lot harder to get those Cheetos to stick than you would think.

The kids played and Bethany took the camera to snap a few pics, this one turned out great.

Joel was supposed to get a call to pick out his courses for the fall, but they called early and let him pick them out. The first 5 things he said were electives, so I have to call them tomorrow. You can’t just take 5 electives, you need some core courses too. After 3 hours at the park, we left to go pick up library prizes. The other day the librarian quizzed the girls about their list. She was so serious when she said, ‘Grace, it says here you read ‘Harry the dirty dog’, what color was Harry when they washed him?’ Grace answered correctly (white with black spots) and got her prize. That was the first librarian to check to see if the kids actually did read what they said they had. Not that I care, my kids did read everything, but I thought it was funny. We had to go by another library to pick up more prizes (woo-hoo, Lakeside here we come!) Then it was off to the post office, pick up James, go to the store, fix dinner, drop the girls at VBS and get picked up for TNO by my friend Christine. I had a great time at TNO (teacher’s night out) at Whole foods. I tried this yogurt that was made out of coconut oil, it was very strong, but good and I had some great cheese. We sat outside after we got kicked out and spent another hour talking, boy can we talk! Off to the creek tomorrow. Oh, and here is the bunny that lives in our bushes.
