Whale pool
Author: liese4
We played with some friends in the outdoor pool, then it rained and we had to go indoors.
Hannah was splashing and loving it.
Joel is being promoted tonight, so blues are in order. Man, we have really got to get those pants taken in!
At the park.

I usually don’t enter in the adult category…..but, I like this shot that Bethany took of James and I on our 17th anniversary.

I ♥ Faces Sepia
Author: liese4
This week at I ♥ Faces, the theme is sepia toned. This is another FL vacation pic we took at an art/garden center. The place was set up like a Mayan ruin, with weathered stones, ivy and an awesome chapel. I love that the kids were not all together in this shot, I wish Bethany had been back just a bit so the sun wasn’t in her eyes, but other than that it was a cool shot.

Up
Author: liese4
We went to see ‘Up’ last night and I have to say that I haven’t cried that much in awhile. It wasn’t a sad movie for kids, they wouldn’t catch most of what was happening the first 15 minutes. But, you see Carl and Ellie meet as kids, grow up, get married, try to have kids, grow old and, well I won’t divulge the rest. Hannah was scared at times from the big scary dogs and the flying house, we all thought Doug the dog was hilarious though. Don’t be surprised if you hear us talking and ……….. squirrel! It’s fun to be like…………..squirrel! It was a great movie because it dealt with normal life. You try to plan for a vacation and something happens, you use your money on that, the vacation gets pushed back. Carl thought he missed his grand adventure with Ellie, but in the end he finds that the adventure was the life he lived every day with her, even if they never made it to the place they thought they were headed to. Kudos to Pixar and Disney for a great family movie. Now, who’s up for an adventure today?
Oh, here is the postcard I bought for James at the Pine antique store.
We passed this downtown on our anniversary trip. We just happened to be downtown yesterday (well, ok, we were going to the Disney train, but with a wait of 3 hours – we passed.) I did make James drive by California and 15th/16th streets so I could take a pic of this building.
Then when we got home he had the 1916 postcard and a pic of the building now, cool!
Today we’re finally going to the whale pool by us, the kids are excited.
