Math lap-book

in lap-book
Well, all I got done today was: church, vacuuming the entire house (and having to empty the canister 3 times), doing the dishes, 4 loads of laundry, mopping and finishing this math lap-book for Grace. Oh and my camera broke again, ARGH! It just got back to me the other day and it was still not quite right. Today the flash broke so now I have almost the same camera as crappy camera; one with no flash.
Here’s the book.
I found these cute folders at the $1 store and thought, ‘That would make a cool cover for a math lap-book.’ It does! Inside the first page is graphing stuff.
There’s a ruler, triangle maker, paper, stickers, and graph paper.
Next is the counting page with a number line and individual numbers.
Turn the page and you have a holder with some more tools and a booklet about the 7 days of creation. Opposite that are a fraction holder and money.
The fractions are 12 pieces of pizza, so you can make a 12 piece pie or 6 piece pie. I found them on a note card at our favorite pizza place Anthony’s pizza. I cut out the pizzas and they work great. The money is monopoly left overs. On the back of that folder are time and Roman numerals.
Inside the time folder are paper clocks with brads to hold the clock arms.
The last page holds tangrams, 2 sizes, and a paper that shows you 6 animals to make from the tiles. I might add geometry in there since we have the ruler and other tools for line making.
That’s it, tomorrow is the first day of Worship dance for all the girls and we’re excited!

I don’t think HR is going to let you keep a pot-bellied pig. I’m sure they have some ordinance against it. Though they are cute.
And, no, I didn’t catch the snake. I thought about it, but I wasn’t sure how I was going to control the dog and the snake at the same time.
I like the hamburger idea, but knowing Tyler, he’d tell me never eats all those things on his hamburger so he shouldn’t have to do all those toppings. I was going to look today for some other themes, like puzzles because if you don’t have all the pieces of puzzle then it can’t be done, to see what I could find.
Good luck with dance!!!

Great job on the math book! Can’t wait to see what the girls worship dance is about. I’m hoping your camera will be working ’cause you have the cutest photogenic kids.
