Farms
We went to my friend Maura’s house today to eat and play.
We had lunch, fed the horses, pet the donkeys and some of us played in the sprinkler.
Then we headed over to a neighbor of hers, Al, to see his farm. What doesn’t this guy own? He had puppies, dogs, cats, kitties, donkeys, chickens, llamas, rams, goats, sheep, turkey, geese, pheasant and I’m sure I’m missing something. The girls loved those kittens.
What is this Hannah is petting?
A tiny border collie puppy.
Here are some miniature horses (who needed a haircut!)
Grace, of course, caught a chicken.
Here is a mama chicken with her chicks, aren’t they cute?
We went to see the goats and they ran down the field, the kids (the human kind) walked all the way down.
Hannah and her friend Noah stopped on the hill and then all the goats started a stampede back up the hill right past them!
Luckily they stayed still and the goats just went around them. We found some petrified wood (it was all over the ground.) There must have been a lot of trees here once upon a time. Right before we left Al said that anyone who wanted a kitty could have one. Hannah must have heard him because she walked right over, picked up a Siamese kitten and started walking toward the car. She was NOT happy when I told her to put the cat back. She pointed at Al and said, ‘he say I take titty tat home.’ Well, sure you can, after one of your cats you have now dies. We went back to Maura’s to eat our watermelon and then it was time to go home. VBS tonight involves slip and slide pancake batter and the girls are going to miss the ice cream social for it, but they don’t care.
