We're a busy Homeschooling family of 6. We think every day needs to be an adventure - so wake up and get moving!

Spa day

Well, I have to say except for Hannah sneaking off and trying to paint her own toenails, this was a great spa day. We started off by going to King Soopers and buying candy for our movie ‘Ever After’, with Drew Barrymore. I love that movie; I think it’s her best one yet. So, we went home and put on some music. I put up the girls hair and then we lathered in a mud mask and cucumbers.

We listened to the music while the mud dried and Hannah kept saying yes she wanted cucumbers and no she didn’t like them and yes……after 4 songs we went in the bathroom and scrubbed off our masks.

Then I put on the movie.

We did toenails first and then nails.

That way we could eat the candy while our toes dried.

We put lotion on our feet and scrubbed our heels and then painted.

I had pink, purple and green sparkle nail polish. After the toes dried I went around and did fingernails (this is where Hannah took off to do her own, at least she didn’t spill it anywhere.) We put on lip-gloss and ate candy while we watched Danielle and Henry fall in love.

We watched the mean step-mother try in vain to get her daughter to be queen, we saw Da Vinci make wings for Danielle for the ball and watched as she ran away and lost her shoe. In the end though, Danielle and Henry live happily ever after and her step-mom and mean step-sister ended up washing clothes in the basement. After the movie we cleaned up all the candy wrappers and ate lunch.

Now Hannah is resting, Bethany and Grace are playing outside and hopefully Joel is having a good class today. It’s kind of weird not having a boy around the house. Now I’m off to read a stack of books from the library, ahhh summer.
