We went to the library for the big machines day. It was packed so the kids just got their vests and went into the sweeper machine.

It was cloudy and in the 60’s so they didn’t want to wait outside longer anyway.

We went home to get Grace’s party set up.

2 families were sick, so we had 5 fewer kids coming, but that was ok. I made an attempt at a whale cake and we had no shortage of whales lying around to decorate with.

We played ‘pin the fluke on the whale’, I think Grace cheated….so I let her friend have the prize.

We also played ‘throw the krill (that would be a ball) in the whale hamper.’ I was opening and shuting the mouth while the kids pegged me with the balls (I’m not sure they were aiming for the whale’s mouth anyway.)

After singing Happy b-day Joel gave us a quick magic show (and it was very good.)

I’ll get some pics of her presents later, a whale book, a cooking set, whale stuff, whale puppet, whale kit (see a theme here?) whale necklace and whale sculpture (that we bought at the Mike festival.)

So, Grace is 6 (and so is bunny, like his new tie-dye outfit?)

Grace was born by emergency C-section at 12pm on June 11, 2002.

She weighed 10lbs and was 20 1/2 in. long.

She is vivacious and has a laugh you can hear down the street.

She is loving and huggy and full of energy.

She has beautiful blue eyes that sparkle with joy and a grin that makes me smile.

She is a Daisy, a dancer and a singer.

Happy birthday Gracie girl (who doesn’t really have a nickname and says that hers is ‘bread’ if you ask her.)
