Ouch!

I tripped down the stairs yesterday and today my foot is turning colors. I don’t think it’s broken, just sore. Hannah put her bottle right in front of me and I kind of curled under my toes and stepped on them. It hurts.

Today during Bethany’s dance class/rehearsal, we went for a snack and saw some art. It’s Denver arts week and art is turning up everywhere, some of it is sneaky. There is art in fortune cookies, art on magnets attached to anything metal and walking art.

Today we saw a lady painted up like a bronze sculpture. I wish I had my camera, she was great. Except for when the wind blew the bottom of her dress, she looked like a statue. Most of the time she had her eyes closed too (when they were open it looked freaky.) Hannah was so funny. We had a public art pamphlet with us and we had been looking in the book and pointing out the art. When we saw the lady I pointed her out and Hannah looked in the book. She kept looking and looking; at the lady, at the book. She couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t in the book. Then I took her over to the lady and when the ‘statue’ moved Hannah jumped a foot in the air. It was really funny watching people pass by the ‘sculpture’ and not noticing her. They just thought she was a piece of art! So, Tuesday we’re going downtown in search of magnets, glass art, fortune cookies and giant kites.
